Ditch your car and bike around traffic at this annual Bike to the 500 event!

Meet up with hundreds of bikers at 7:30 a.m. on the east plaza of City Market and enjoy music, drinks and food while all the other race-fans sit in stand-still traffic!

After plenty of fun & fueling up, the bike posse will be leaving the Market at 9:30 a.m. to take off toward the race track!  

This four-mile bike ride is not a speed race, so be prepared to navigate standing traffic on your bike.

This year, bicyclists have quick access to Gate One!

Your bicycle and helmet will be monitored until 6 p.m. when you arrive at the Speedway giving you time to relax and enjoy the festivities without worrying about your bike for the entirety of the event.

If you don’t plan to ride to the race, come and party at this free-to-attend event, the 500 Porch Party, being held at the City Market.
