Despite its relatively small size, Zionsville offers so much for its residents and visitors—everything from kid fun to cultural events to fitness competitions. With so many events and activities, it's no wonder Zionsville is so tight-knit — there are opportunities to see your neighbors and meet new people at every turn! Even if you don’t live in Zionsville, check out our updated list of events — you’re sure to find a reason to make the drive to this charming little town just northwest of Indianapolis.

PAWS to Read Paws to Read

Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Library Dogs, reading, books… What’s not to like? Bring your pup, a child or two, and snuggle while you read. Free. Details >>

Search for Green Dog Walk   
Saturday, March 16, 1 - 2 p.m, Zion Nature Sanctuary, 690 Beech Street. 

Join the search for those first signs of green on a walk through the Zion Nature Sanctuary with your favorite four-legged family member. After the walk, stop in at the Zion Nature Center to collect dog-friendly treats. Details >>

Spring Pow Wow  

Pow WowSaturday, April 6 (10 – 9:30 p.m.) and Sunday, April 7 (10:30  – 4:30 p.m.), Boone County Fairgrounds, 1300 E 100 S, Lebanon, IN. 

Traditional Native American Pow Wow with singing, dancing, drumming, and food. $5 general admission. Great family activity. Details >> 

4th Annual Zionsville Half Marathon and 5K   
Sunday, April 14, 7  – 11 a.m., meet at 30 North Main Street

This walk/run provides medals to all finishers in addition to age group and overall awards. (Pre-registration required.) Pizza and refreshments after the race. Free draft beer to all finishers 21 years and over. Details >>

Easter EggsEGGnormous Easter Egg Hunt 
Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. , Zionsville Lions Park, 115 South Elm Street.

Come out for Lions Park’s popular fundraiser! The morning begins with a donation breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting and egg hunts for all age groups. Over 18,000 eggs, prizes and scavenger hunts. Details >> 

Keep Calm & Cherry On Dinner Series                                                                                                    Traders Point Creamery and Auberge, Tuesday, April 23, 6 - 8 p.m.

Hotel Whiskey & Traders Point Creamery team up  to create a night of organically sourced food and artisan drink with a strong seasonal emphasis. Enjoy a three-plated course meal with complimenting cocktails and a farm tour during your visit. $65 per person. Details>>

"Off the Clock" After-Hours Event

Wine for a Cause Friday
April 26, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Serenity at 135 S Main Street

Enjoy an evening of wine tasting, appetizers, desserts and friendship. One Hope will pour the tastings and taking orders. Tickets are $25, which includes wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and desserts. All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Details>>

34th Annual Brick Street Market Brick St Market
Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Main St.

This juried market features arts, crafts and more from 200 artisans and exhibitors. Stroll along Main Street in Zionsville to explore the market and visit local businesses—it’s a fun day of shopping! Free admission. Details >>

The Zionsville Farmers Market opens the Saturday after Mother’s Day and is open every Saturday through September. Located at the corner of Main St. and Hawthorne, the market features more than 35 vendors who offer locally grown produce, as well as breads, pastries, cheeses, eggs and meat. 45th Annual Eagle Creek Folk Festival

Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This is your chance to tour seven beautiful gardens around Zionsville. This year, the Garden Market returns, with its collection of specialty retail and art boutiques to liven up the home and garden. Fireworks over Zionsville

Zionsville Lions Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Thursday, July 4, Lions Park, 5 – 10:30 p.m.

Fireworks at dusk. With tons of kids’ activities, food, music and, of course, spectacular fireworks, more than 14,000 people come out every year for this Zionsville tradition. This is the second-largest fundraiser of the year for the Zionsville Lions Club. Details >>

Lebanon Sunday, July 21 – Friday, July 26, 6 a.m. – 11 p.m., fairgrounds located at 1300 100 S, Lebanon.

66th Annual Zionsville Lions Fall Festival 
Friday, September 6 – Sunday, September 8, Lions Park, 115 S. Elm Street. 

Be a Superhero 2: Return of the Lions! is the theme for this three-day extravaganza featuring a superhero parade, bounce house, food, entertainment, amusement park rides and a car show—fun for every age! Be the guests of the Lions Club for this free admission event. Proceeds from food, rides and vendors go toward maintaining Lions Park. Details >> 

Wednesday Morning Book Club                                                                                               Wednesday, September 11, 10-12 p.m., Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library.

This book group will discuss fiction and nonfiction books. No registration necessary. For adults (18 and over).

Zionsville Ghost WalkZionsville Ghost Walk 
Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, 6 – 9 p.m. Meet at SullivanMunce Cultural Center, 225 West Hawthorne Street. Tours leaving every 15 minutes. 

Take a guided walking tour of the historic village of Zionsville. Guests stop at vignettes to experience reenacted ghost stories from Zionsville’s spooky past. Advance tickets available. Adults $12, youth. Details >> 

Annual Hit the Bricks 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, October 5, 8 – 10 a.m.

This is a charity fundraiser for the Zionsville Optimist Club. Run/walk supports Zionsville’s Boys and Girls Clubs, Little League, youth activities and scholarship programs. Run right down Main Street and through Zionsville’s colorful neighborhoods into the Zionsville Bike/Hike trail. Pre-registration required. Details >>

Zionsville Education Foundation Barn Bash
November 9, Golf Club of Indiana

Barn Bash is Zionsville Education Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year, and includes dinner, a live band, dancing, a silent auction and much more. Tickets are expected to go on sale in late August. Details to come.

Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in the Village
Saturday, November 30, 5 - 8 p.m., Downtown Zionsville

The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce sponsors a magical parade your kiddos won’t soon forget, featuring live reindeer and Santa’s arrival in Zionsville! Parade begins at 5 p.m. at Eagle Elementary and features the Zionsville High School marching band and of course, Santa Claus. Details to come.

Every December, Zionsville transforms into a picture-perfect Christmas Village. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, with carriage rides, carolers, visits with Santa, and much more! For little ones, the SullivanMunce Cultural Center provides a mailbox that delivers their letters directly to Santa! Come out and experience the magic and cheer of the season! Details to come.
