Indianapolis, IN – February 7, 2012 – Indianapolis knocked it out of the park as host city for Super Bowl XLVI by most accounts…be it NFL executives, fans, or corporate types in town for both business and pleasure. You name it, they liked it. The verdict is in: Indianapolis put on what was perhaps the most universally praised performance in the history of Super Bowl host cities.
The city’s first opportunity to host a Super Bowl went off without a hitch, and it was hard to imagine what could have been done better.
The weather was perfect, well above average for February. The planning was well-executed. The spirit of the city impressed visitors, and there were few arrests or problems associated with the big game.
National media members began talking up Indianapolis’ performance early last week, and the praise built to a crescendo late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
